The Story
Behind The Brand
This project draws inspiration from the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos, captured in stories like Coco, where remembrance and celebration of life take center stage.
This soda brand translates these influences into design. The cans, colors, and animations echo the festive altars, papel picado, and marigolds central to the holiday — capturing not just a drink, but an experience of memory, joy, and connection.
After developing the graphic identity for the can and brand, I brought the concept to life in 3D by modeling and texturing the can and its supporting elements. Using geometry nodes, I built particle systems, simulations, scattering setups, and rope systems; animated flowers and glowing orbs; crafted explosive bursts of energy; and designed texture transitions as well as shader-driven energy pulse effects.
Finally, I explored a range of camera work — from cinematic reveals to clean product-focused shots — supported by professional lighting setups that showcase both the design and the story behind it.
